The community of Pelican Rapids is located on the shore of Lake Winnipegosis in central Manitoba.

The community of 111 residents sit at the south-east shore of Dawson Bay, which is on the North-eastern end of Lake Winnipegosis. Pelican Rapids is surrounded by natural beauty of forest and lake with an abundant of wildlife. Pelican Rapids is adjoined by Sapotaweyak Cree Nation.
